This Tuesday, November 3, we spotted a group of high school students from the CSI in Ferney-Voltaire who are taking the MUN elective.
So far, nothing out of the ordinary, you might say, but one detail caught our attention. They weren’t at their high school, but at the Lyon-Part-Dieu train station, rushing around. Were we dealing with students skipping class or running late? The suitcases they were dragging behind them told us something entirely different. In fact, these students were trying to board the train bound for Clermont-Ferrand to attend the ClerMUN 2026 conference.
From Tuesday, November 3, through Friday, November 6, the days will be filled with debates, as well as opening and closing ceremonies. And because diplomacy isn’t everything, a MUN Party themed “Casino Royale” will also bring the conference to a spectacular close.
On the agenda are plenty of topics making international headlines: from major political and environmental issues to technological and health challenges, not to mention the tensions and conflicts that shape relations between countries. Plenty of material for discussion, debate, and collective reflection on the major challenges of today and tomorrow.
During this conference, we were able to discover new ways of debating in the beautiful setting of the Hôtel de Région. We thank ClerMUN for this wonderful experience and are leaving Clermont-Ferrand with many fond memories.
