In January 2016, the World Meteorological Organisation and the World Trade Organisation have very generously offered us the use of their establishments. Located in Geneva, a city whose international and political aspect makes it so unique, location is ideal for delegates to develop their debating capacities in a context that allows them be anchored to a diplomatic environment.

Issues and Reports
General Assembly 1 : Economic and Social Issues
This year’s GA1 will be dealing with the economic and social issues of migrants and aid for development. It will be the largest GA committee with 70 delegates and it will come together with the three other GA committees for the last day of the conference. The issues will envelop plans to improve aspect of the social and economic life in countries from where many migrants originate.
General Assembly 2 : Environmental Issues
This year’s GA2 will be dealing with the environmental issues of migrants and aid to development. It will be a committee of 20 delegates and it will come together with the three other GA committees for the last day of the conference. The issues will envelop the problem of climate refugees (migrants displaced by global warming and climate change) and it will also try to find solutions to combine development and eco-friendly attitudes.
General Assembly 3 : Political Issues
This year’s GA3 will be dealing with the political issues of migrants and aid to development. It will be a committee of 26 delegates and it will come together with the three other GA committees for the last day of the conference. The issues will envelop the problem of political refugees, and particularly the cases of Syria and Myanmar.
General Assembly 4 : Health Issues
This year’s GA4 will be dealing with the health issues of migrants and aid to development. It will be a committee of 16 delegates and it will come together with the three other GA committees for the last day of the conference. The issues will envelop the creation of a plan of action in reaction to epidemics, and also in reaction to the appalling health of migrants.
The Executive Committee of the High Commissioner for Refugees’ Programme (UNHCR)
This committee will be dealing with the consequences of issues the GA will try to resolve. Although they will not participate in the GA, this 56 delegate committee will try to create a plan to welcome the refugees and also to avoid the terrible death toll of sea migrants.
Special Committee on Environment
This committee will be the follow-up to the COP21 conference in Paris at the end of 2015. Uniting 70 delegates it will particularly focus on realistic and concrete solutions that will allow countries to complete the objectives, depending on the outcome of the COP21. Its focus points will be the creation of an international tax on CO2 emissions, along with the creation of a long term plan for the durable exploitation of natural resources.
Security Council
The Security Council is the most powerfull organ of the UN and is allowed to take decisive and concrete actions. It will deal with the question of peace on the Israeli-Lebanese border and on the Golan Heights. The second issue will deal with the role of the former silk road in the fight against drug trafficking. There will be 30 delegates representing 15 countries (2 delegates per country).
The North Atlantic Council
The North Atlantic Council, along with the Executive Council of the African Union and the Joint Defense Council of the Arab League will be part of a Special conference on terrorism and they will meet on the last day in a general assembly. They will be dealing with Terrorism in a broad sense, but this council will be focusing on ISIS and its recruitement methods. There will be 56 delegates representing 28 countries (two delegates per country).
The Executive Council of the African Union
The Executive Council of the African Union, along with the North Atlantic Council and the Joint Defense Council of the Arab League will be part of a Special conference on terrorism and they will meet on the last day in a general assembly. They will be dealing with Terrorism in a broad sense, but this council will be focusing on Boko Haram. There will be 106 delegates representing 53 countries (two delegates per country).
The Joint Defense Council of the Arab League
The Joint Defense Council of the Arab League, along with the North Atlantic Council and the Executive Council of the African Union will be part of a Special conference on terrorism and they will meet on the last day in a general assembly. They will be dealing with Terrorism in a broad sense, but this council will be focusing on Al-Quaeda and its associates. There will be 44 delegates representing 22 countries (two delegates per country).
The International Court of Justice
The International Court of Justice is the international tribunal of the UN. It will consist of 10 Judges and 4 lawyers (2 on each side). The subject of this year’s trial is the Aerial Herbicide Spraying case between Ecuador and Colombia
